Report of U.S. National Action Plan Consultation

A summary report has today been released of a consultation on the U.S. National Action Plan (NAP) on Responsible Business Conduct, co-hosted by the Global Business Initiative on Human Rights (GBI), the International Corporate Accountability Roundtable (ICAR) and the Harrison Institute for Public Law at Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C. on 16 April 2015. The consultation included sessions on overseas investment, aid and development, public procurement, access to remedy, and anti-corruption and financial transparency. The consultation was held as part of the U.S. government’s series of open dialogues to exchange ideas on its NAP process and content, and attracted more than 200 participants from around 15 different government agencies, 40 businesses, 40 civil society organisations and 10 academic institutions.
